Weekly Update (26.02.2012)

This has been an amazing drawing week!
Haven't been drawing that much as thought, but I have done a hell of research. This weekend I have spent with 9 other people, at Schous Plass in Oslo, a the Deichmanske library. There, we had this comic course, over two days, total of 12 hours.

The course was held my Tore Strand Olsen, which is an Norwegian cartoonist.
As the poster says, its for new beginners, tho, there were a lot of things I already knew, but I did learn lots of good tips and tricks! I wish these were those things we could learn at school :(

Also, this week I have meet Sigbjørn Lilleeng, which is the cartoonist behind "Apefjes". He was a very interesting person to meet. He showed me some of his sketches, how he works from an idea to the finished product, as well as his working place - which must be one of the most awesome things I have ever seen! I got good tips on which papers I should use, as well as pencils and such. Of course you don't find those types of papers everywhere, so I dragged my mom to Oslo, to help me find those stores, lol. Now I feel that I could really start working professionally on my comic!

After my meeting with Sigbjørn, I started to pay more attention to my sketches. You should have seen his sketches, they where amazingly detailed! It's really inspiring to meet such a person, who has exactly the same dreaming job that you want as well in the future. That I would recommend people to do, try meet someone you envy and looks up to.

Just came back "home" after the last lesson, thats why it was 23 mins over time, hehe!
